Bob and the Royaliste were on camera in the production of the History Channel feature, "True Caribbean Pirates." Bob was primarily there as a member of the sailing crew of the Royaliste, which was used in the documentary as one of the pirate ships. Much of Bob's work is behind the scenes. When the ship is sailing, he is on the foredeck working the sails. They also used him as an extra because he was a such good pirate! He can be seen behind the wheel of Maynard's ship. He is also loading a musket onboard Blackbeard's ship.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium is a place where non-divers can experience the beauty of the undersea world which Bob enjoyed so thoroughly. The kelp forest webcam shows an environment similar to where Bob's emergency occurred.
